11th Feb Update

  • In the 11th Feb class, we discussed Gaussian Distribution, also known as the Law Of Errors or Standard Normal distribution. It is a symmetric probability distribution about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean.
  • We discuss shootings and their relativity on Temperature.

Downloaded the Mathematica tool, and worked on Importing the county data as per the temperature.

Questions:

>  After importing the file to the Mathematica tool, I was not able to plot the graph based on Temperature and Counties. Still figuring out the way.

Definitely their is some relation on the basis of Temperature. As the high temperature states seen more shooting as compare to less temperature states.

Is there some difference between the density of the States, as states which have more immigrants are seen more shootings ?

4th Feb Updates

On the 4th of Feb, we continued discussing the Excel and were more sceptical about the data.
We follow the “Analysis of Variance (ANOVA)” to compare the means of multiple groups, determining whether statistically significant differences exist between them by analyzing the variance within and between the groups. We worked on a Graph were the X-axis is % the total shootings & the y-axis- is the % police shootings
And parallel we started working on report creation

Questions:

Which Police Station has the Maximum number of shootings?
Were incidents on immigrants more than the natives?
